Happy 4th of July

I hope everyone had a happy 4th of July. Thomas and I had a great weekend. I was off on Thursday and Friday for the holiday. Thursday afternoon Thomas got to go swimming. He did a great job. He would jump in from the side and then swim to whoever was catching him. He would also let go of the side and swim a few feet. I am so proud of how well my little fish is doing.

Thursday night we went to see fireworks at Addison's Kaboomtown. We had a picnic while we were waiting for the fireworks to start. Then there was an airshow prior to the fireworks. By the time the fireworks started, Thomas was already tired, but he stayed awake for the fireworks. We sat far enough back from where they were shooting them off that he wasn't even scared. He just sat and watched them the entire time.

Friday morning we got up early and headed to a parade. Thomas enjoyed the parade and even collected some candy. Thomas's favorite part was when the firetrucks went by. Again by the end of the parade, Thomas was worn out and finished the parade laying back in his stroller.

Friday night, I went to the Roughrider's baseball game a friend (Thomas was with his daddy). We had a great time there. After the game there were more fireworks to watch. Saturday we was a lazy day with not much happening. Today was church. I always love the patriotic service at church. I feel so much pride when I think of all my friends serving in the military! What a huge price they pay for my freedom! Thanks to all the men and women serving in the military!!!
