A Summer to Remember

Occasionally I check my own blog.... and realize just how long its been since I have actually posted!  And then I promise myself that I will do better, and that I will start posting at least the big things that happen.  And then a couple of months later I realize I have let those months slip by without a post....  Some things just never change!  But, the good news is that I have realized once again how long its been since I posted, so I am going to do a massive picture/catch up post.  We will see where it goes from here!

In June I was privileged to witness my friends Angela and Zane get married.  Love doing life with these girls! #friendsmakelifebetter

Thomas's baseball team won the playoffs!  It was a great season!  Thomas grew alot in his baseball skills and he and I both made wonderful friends!  So thankful to God for this woman and her friendship (not to mention the boys are 2 peas in a pod!) #Newfriendsareawesome

Summer swimming!  Sometimes you need a basket for protection when you are having a major intergalactic super sonic space battle (or something along those lines) in the pool... its necessary! #safetyfirst

Jenny and I showing off our henna 10 days till before we left for Nepal and India! #NepIn2014

Thomas and I went to Camp Wow with Prestonwood's Children's ministry.  I was the nurse, he was the camper.  It was such a fun weekend! #lovehim

Jenny, Sned, Lance and I spent an extremely long night in the Abu Dhabi airport.  While we did not get kicked out (Praise God!), we did have some fun with this camel!  Did I mention it was a long night?! #longestnightever

Ah Nepal....  How it has worked its way into my heart also!  I will have to do separate posts on the trip this summer, but just know that God showed up in major ways (and I don't just mean the sunrises and sunsets we experienced!).  #nofilter

When we left Nepal, we headed to Chennai, India to witness my best Indian friend get married (again, another post in the making).  It was so fun to get to experience another part of the country!   #CongratsKameshandMythili

And then time in Kolkata!  Oh how full my heart is... and how homesick I already am to go back! #homeawayfromhome

Once back on US soil, I moved apartments.  I had some amazing help and it didn't take to long to settle in. #Homeforreal

We celebrated my besties birthday!  I'm glad her (now) fiance waited until I got back to have her party! #besties

In August I started a new adventure.  Its been overwhelming and stressful, but its totally worth it (and I actually have A's in both classes!) #yikes #studentagain

At the end of July my grandmother had another big stroke which took her ability to use the right side of her body.  This is the last picture I have of my grandmother (that I took) because I left the next day for Seattle.  #lovehersmile

I went to Seattle in August on another mission trip.  It is so beautiful up there.  For the record, God is moving there too! #Godsbeauty

While in Seattle, we went to Pike's Place and to the first Starbucks!  I promise the drinks taste better there.  (Ok, maybe not, but it sure was fun to get to go!) #bestvanillabeanfrapever

While I was in Seattle, my grandmother had one more massive stroke that left us with no other option other than hospice.  It was a hard week to come home to, but it was a sweet time with my mom and my sisters that I will forever treasure.  And while we were sad to tell such a wonderful  and sweet woman goodbye, we know that she is finally Home and enjoying time with Jesus and with my Grandjack (her husband who passed away when I was 4) after 30 some odd years of being apart.  Thank God I have the assurance I will see her again some day! #familyrocks

August also brought the beginning of another school year.  How is it that I have a 3rd grader?!  To celebrate the first week of school, we went to LegoFest with our friends Betty and Sam.  The boys had an amazing time, and us mom's got some good fellowship time! #alittleboysheaven

Me and Superman.... He's my favorite! :) #mymancrush

And apparently I have reached my picture limit in this post as blogspot will not allow me to upload any more pictures.  Unfortunately for all my faithful readers (all 2 of you), I have homework to go do now.  I have every intention of doing posts from my trips this summer and also of things that have happened since school started, so stay tuned! #moretocome #canthandlethesuspense
