Pretty:
Mom, Leanne, and I went to go see the Sound of Music at Fair Park. It was such a fun afternoon with just us girls! We have got to do this more often!
Not sure this qualifies as pretty... but he sure is handsome! This month they had a uniform inspection at cub scouts. This boy cleans up pretty nice!
Funny:
In preparation for Episode 7 coming out, we have been diligently working to catch up on our Star Wars knowledge. We started at Episode 1 and all we have left is Episode 6 to watch now. When we watched Episode 1, we streamed it from the iPad. Only problem was it hadn't completely downloaded, so by the time we got to the end, there were some pauses in the show. At one point, this was where the movie paused. We all thought it was funny... could have just been the hour though!!
Happy:
So, so, so many things this month!!!
The Book Fair was at my school in November, so we we got to wear our Halloween Costumes again. Last year Holly came to our school as the Assistant Principal. I love working with this woman... she's not just a co-worker, she's my friend! And Thomas loves playing hanging out with her daughter.
Morningside 4th graders performed at the PTA meeting in November for Veteran's Day. Thomas was excited to be able to see his friends that night after they performed.
Thomas sold ALOT of popcorn (thanks to all who bought) this year and because of that he was able to get a tent. We had discussed the possibility of camping during the week of Thanksgiving, but the weather was too cold and wet. However, in order to keep a boy happy, we set up the tent in the living room of the apartment and he still got to "camp out". He was one happy little dude!
We celebrated Veteran's Day in November, both at my school and at Thomas'. It was fun to find out pictures of both of my grandfather's from when they were serving. I love these men and am so proud to call them my granddad's!
Every year my friend Phillip, my sister, and some other folks go together to provide an American Thanksgiving to all of our Indian friends. It is such a fun day each year! And I love that we can love on these sweet friends each year. This year's group was the biggest group yet with almost 40 people in attendance!!
Real:
I received this text from a friend who had been searching one evening this month. The transformation that has followed from that point has been Ah-May-Zing! To say that God is REAL and that He still answers the prayers of the faithful is an understatement. And the fact that I get a front row seat in watching Him change people's lives is such a major blessing to me. Helping this friend find his way back to Jesus has grown MY faith in ways I wasn't really even aware I needed. So.. God is GOOD, and He is REAL! :)
