WEDDING!!!!

I apologize now for the picture overload!

The morning started with Jenny and I going to Starbucks.  We wanted to have the folks there write "Bride" and "Bride Tribe" on our cups... this is what we got instead.  Close folks... but not quite!

Then we headed to the mall to get our makeup done.  They did such a good job just making us look like us and not over doing it!

Then it was time to grab lunch (yay for Tropical Smoothie Cafe!) and head back to the condo to get ready.  The girl who was doing my hair met us there.  She did such a good job making my hair look just like I wanted it!

And then it was time to get dress for pictures!

Mary took me, Thomas, and Jenny to a beautiful spot under a bridge to take some pics on the beach.  The final product is beautiful, but it was seriously windy and I was so nervous about the water getting my dress!

Love this kiddo!

This here is Mack's fav wedding pic of me!

My handsome groom

Both my handsome boys!

Love this pic of the 3 of us

And now for the reception!!

First (and only) dance as husband and wife.  We danced to Only You by Louie Armstrong.

Me and my dad's dance.  He chose 18 Yellow Roses by Bobby Darrin.

Me dancing with my kiddo.  He was so not excited about having to do this!  We danced to the chorus of You Are My Sunshine.  When I first found out I was pregnant with him, I went and bought a yellow blanket with a sunshine on it and the words "You Are My Sunshine", so it seemed only fitting to dance with him to that song!

Mack and his momma's dance.  They danced to Momma Was Alot Like Jesus by Jeff Bates.  It was a super sweet dance and I'm not sure there was a dry eye in the place when they finished!

Then it was time to cut the cake.  I wish I had a better picture of just the cake (and I probably do somewhere!).  It was so pretty... and tasted just as good!

I made him PROMISE that he would not smash it in my face.

And he got a kiss as a reward for not!  :)

The best part of the reception is that it was small and so we were able to spend time talking to everyone there!

This is my sweet friend Emily.  She has had a rough year this past year, but her joy is so evident!  Her daughter is just 6(ish) months younger than Thomas... and they love eachother.  I have joked since she was pregnant that they would get married.  A mother can only hope!!  ;0)

Kamesh and his family are so incredibly special to me.  Several years ago his entire family bought me a saree (my first one).  When Kamesh gave it to me, he told me it was so I would have something to wear to his marriage.  I teased him that there was no way because he would get married in India.  Fast forward to a couple of years ago when he was getting married and me, Jenny, and Sned were all in India to visit friends!  I (actually we all) were indeed able to go to his wedding!!!  After he got married, he moved to Virginia.  I was sad.  Now come to present time when Mack and I decide to marry in Virginia and I realize Kamesh can come too!  Not only that, but his parents are visiting from India and are able to come also!  What a sweet surprise and wonderful blessing to have them there!

My besties!  Couldn't have a wedding without them! :)

My other family.  These are the Tostens.  I have known them since I was a freshman in college.  They have been there for so much of my adult life.  Their 2 daughters are like my sisters.  I gave my bouquet to Elizabeth since she and Cody were pretty serious.  Little did I know that a week later he would pop the questions and ask Elizabeth to marry him!

Pop and Mom/Bill and Mary/Popsi and Gramma Mary.  No matter what you call them, they are some of my best friends, my biggest cheerleaders, and such Godly people!  Pop is who married us and Mom was out photographer.  Most all of the pictures in this post are hers!  We love them and cannot say thank you enough!

These two pictures are from the best man and maid of honor speeches.  Thomas (who was sooooo over it all by this point) was short and sweet!  Jenny made me laugh several times!  She said the sweetest things... now if I could just remember them all!

So we had this great idea of leaving the wedding and walking away onto the beach, but it was soooo windy that day (have I mentioned the wind?!?), so we did it inside instead!  Instead of bird seed or flower petals, we had people toss beach balls.  I think it came out cute!

Jenny and I have both been to India and Nepal (once together).  We both love all things from both those countries.  I knew I wanted to incorporate it in my wedding in a subtle way, so we had a friend come over the night before the wedding and apply Henna to the bottom of our feet.  It turned out perfect for what I was wanting!

So the cool part about getting married out of town is that you can still hang out with folks after the wedding!  My family was going to eat seafood (the one thing I DO NOT like), but Jenny and Sned were headed to get Indian food.  So Mack and I tagged along!  Mack and Sned were still in their wedding wear (Mack even still had his boutonniere on!).  Jenny and I had changed back into our Bride and Bride Tribe shirts.  As we ate, the waitress asked about it and so Mack and I told her we had just gotten married.  To congratulate us, they brought us a plate of free Indian ice cream.  Yumm!

Up next... Honeymoon!!
