Wow, what a month it has been!

On July 2nd, I flew back to Amarillo to pick up Thomas!!! Everyone was so glad he was finally home! First thing on the agenda was getting his haircut.

July 6th, Thomas was able to build his first lego. The Lego store at Stonbriar does a free Lego the first Tuesday of each month. July's free one was a watermelon. Thomas had so much fun building his. He also got a Lego helicopter while we were there. He built it (with a little bit of mommy help) that night!
July 12 I broke my ankle. Yes, you read that right. I broke my ankle. It was what was called an avulsion fracture. This is when the ligaments tear and take some bone with them. (Basically its a VERY bad sprain). When I went to the orthopedist, he said it looked worse than it was. And it did look BAD! (I didn't take any pictures of it before it was casted though!) There was a HUGE knot on the side of my foot....for once I didn't have chicken legs!!! I was in a cast for 3 weeks and in that time period I managed to have 3 casts! The first one I wore for 2 weeks,
the second one for a few hours, and the last one for 1 week. And please don't think that having a broken ankle and my foot in a cast stopped me from doing things! (Keep reading!)
July 13 my older sister, brother-in-law, and 2 nephews came into town. Thomas was so excited to play with his cousin Andrew (who is 2). They played trains, cars, hide and seek, and many more games. They also were able to go swimming together one day. While they were here we went to the Ft. Worth Museum of Science and History! What a neat place that was! The boys got to go to Build A Bear to create friends. Thomas created Camo bear (a camouflage bear) and Andrew created George (a monkey). They both LOVE their new friends. Christopher (who was 9 months when they were here) played plenty too! He is a busy little boy, just like his brother and cousin! They all had fun together! My favorite thing Thomas did while they were here was walk over to Christopher in the high chair and say (in a voice that you would imagine one talking to a baby with) "Hello precious!" It was too cute!
