Today was an "easy" day.  We spent the morning relaxing, and it was great.  I spent part of the morning Skyping with Thomas and Danielle.  It was fun to be able to talk to them and see their faces!

After lunch we headed to an orientation at the Missions of Charities so we could volunteer at one of Mother Teresa's homes.  The orientation was mostly filling out some paperwork and choosing which home to serve at.  We decided to serve at Daya Dan as a group on Wednesday afternoon.  Daya Dan is a home for children age 6 and up with physical and mental handicaps.

Then we went to the Red Light District of Kolkata to tour Sari Bari, a business that helps to rescue women out of the business of human trafficking.  They give the women a job, health insurance, and help pay for the women's children to attend school.  (You pay for everything in public schools in India - tuition, uniforms, books, etc).  After touring the facility, we were given the chance to buy several bags/purses these women had made.  They are beautiful!  Then we spent a little time praying over the staff and a few of the women before leaving.

Tonight we ate at another "western" restaurant named Mocha's.  The bottom floor of the building is the restaurant, but the top floor was a hookah bar (which we did not go to!).  While the silverware was a little crazy, the atmosphere was great, as well as the food.  They even had Oreo milkshakes.  Yummy!!  :)

The silverware at Mocha's... we thought it was picture worthy

After dinner we headed back to the guest house.  Tomorrow morning is going to be an early one...we have a train to catch at 6:30am!
