I know..that is spelled wrong, but it is cute, huh! Well, once again I have let all of my reading fans out there down. I can't believe I haven't posted in almost a month! It has been wild and crazy around here. I can't believe how busy a one year old can be! I spend most of my day chasing him...its so much fun! Lets see...since the party...
Brian is still working crazy long hours. Someday soon we hope that will change (although we aren't holding our breath either!). He is doing better since they switched his schools around. He now has Aledo High School, Peaster High School, and Springtown High School. I sure wish we could find some more kids that were more willing to give their existence over to the US Navy, but man it is a hard go out here. Hopefully as the end of the school year grows closer to the end, he will have some more luck!
I am still doing the same ole same ole. I am a stay at home mommy on Mon and Fri, and work part time at the church on Tues, Wed, and Thurs. Just trying to keep up with Thomas, the housework, and all the other things I should be doing! However, things are good and I can't complain...too much at least!!
Thomas continues to grow like a weed. Everyone tells us how much he has changed in however short a period they have seen him! Just today I was told how much he has changed over just the past week. What a cutie pie he is! And what a smartie pants he is! He learns a new word almost everyday it seems and he knows so much. We now know what a horsey is and we are working on cow.
Last week was our spring break (me and Thomas...Brian doesn't get one). We didn't do too much, but we had a great week together. We did go spend the day with Nana and JPa on Wednesday and then go eat dinner with Gram and Papa. It was a fun day. Thomas enjoyed playing with his Nana and JPa. Then Nana and I went out shopping for a bit while Thomas napped. Thomas napped so long that JPa didn't even get to take Thomas out for a walk like he wanted to! Maybe next time JPa! We ate dinner with Gram and Papa and then played for a little bit there too. Then we had to come home and see daddy! Friday night our friends Joy and Mikey came over and we went to dinner and then to the house to just hang out and have some fun. Saturday Thomas and I went shopping with Gram for a little bit. Then Brian, Thomas, and I went to Tyler for our niece Sydney's birthday party. We had such a great time there. Our nieces Bailey, Hadley, and Sydney love Thomas and play so well with him. It was a fun fun time.
Thankfully we are all finally well. Thomas had a stomach bug and then Brian did. We are also thankful that I didn't catch either! Thomas did just finished another antibiotic for another ear infection. Uncle Chris (Brian's brother in law) looked in his ears this weekend and said they looked ok, so hopefully they will stay that way till next Monday. We go for our ENT visit this upcoming Monday. We will see what he has to say! Hopefully it will be all good, but we shall see! And, hopefully we can all stay well for a while now!
Brian and I went to a Dallas Stars game with some friends recently. That was fun. Our tickets were for up in the nosebleeds, but some nice guy at the doorway up to our seats let a sit a little lower down (like maybe 10 or so rows). It was fun, but the Stars of course lost. They lost the last time we went to a game also! I think it has to do with Brian being at the game (just kidding honey!). We are hoping to go to a Rangers game shortly after the season there starts. That should be fun. I think Thomas will enjoy it too!
We finally were able to give Thomas some "cake". Sydney had cupcakes at her party and we gave one to Thomas (since he was sick at his party and wouldn't touch his own cake). He LOVED it. He had icing all over himself (we had stripped him down to a diaper before we gave it to him). It was so cute. I wish he had done it at his party for everyone else to see, but oh well. Poor baby didn't feel good that day! Can't wait to see what he does next year!
This week is my mom's spring break, so this week my mom is going to take Thomas for a night. I think his Nana is going to take him for a night too....that means mommy and daddy will have 2 nights to themselves (and 2 mornings to sleep in!!). YAY!!! We are so thankful to live so close to both sets of parents!
Finally....TOMORROW is Brian's birthday. He is going to be 30 years old! Happy Birthday Honey! I think we are going to try to have a small get together on Saturday (either at our house or at Brian's parents house). I love birthdays, so I am excited for his! He is supposed to get part of the day off tomorrow to spend with me and Thomas...we are very excited.
Anyway...I think that is it. I will really try to do better at keeping this up to date...I promise!
