So, I guess the best place to start would be where I left off last time. Last Saturday night we had our families over for dinner. It was a fun time. Thomas greatly enjoyed it!
Nana and Jpa brought Thomas some treat filled eggs (filled with cheerios, teddy grahams, and goldfish!). He had more fun opening the eggs and eating what was in them. They also got him a bubble blower. He still isn't totally sure about it all, but likes it when we blow the bubbles! My mom and dad gave him an Easter basket with a bunny in it. He
likes the take the bunny and make it "hop hop hop". Its cute! We had so much yummy food that night, it was great! What a blessing for us to be able to spend holidays with our family this year! Sunday we went to church. Thomas looked too cute in his little Easter outfit! However, by the time we got around to taking pictures, he was tired and not too cooperative. Some day I will put him in the outfit again and take pictures of him in it! I got a few, they just aren't the best! Other than church, Brian and I had nothing going on. It was nice. We just stayed home and spent time together. Monday was a long day for Brian. He worked till late! Thomas and I met my mom at Hulen and went shoe shopping. She bought me some new walking shoes so I could train for the 3 day walk, which I signed up for Monday night! So, watch out...I am officially fundraising for breast cancer and the 3 day walk! Tuesday was a work day (for me and Brian!). Wednesday I worked in the morning and went to a GROW (our church's outreach program) meeting Wednesday night. Thursday was work again and then afternoon I went to the Dr. My leg had been hurting and they said it was b/c I had a small blood clot in a superficial leg vein. YIKES! However, it is much better now. They said it wasn't anything to worry about unless it didn't get better, which it has! I go back to the dr at the end of the month, so they will follow up then! Friday I cleaned up the house and I met Ashley (the air force recruiter's wife) and her son (who is one month older than Thomas) at chick-fil-a for lunch. Then we did our grocery shopping. Friday night I was supposed to have a surprise party with family, however, the weather didn't cooperate. There were bad storms (tornadoes in some places) and so it ended up just being my family (which was fun too!). Leanne made me a cake and everything. Not sure why I got the surprise party, but I won't complain! I got a cake and a dinner out of the deal!!! Saturday Brian had to work, and my friend Joy and I had a 3 day walk meeting, so my mom kept Thomas Friday night. When Joy and I got done with our meeting, we went out looking at wedding stuff (b/c she is getting married soon!). It was fun to get to spend time with her! Saturday night I went to a party for Leanne and one of her friends. Brian stayed home b/c he had been working so much all week. I went and retrieved my son and had fun talking to some of Leanne's friends! It was fun. Then Thomas and I came home to spend some time with Daddy. Sunday was such a busy, but good day. Of course it was my birthday, so that automatically made it good! Joy and Mike (her boyfriend) went to church with us. Then Brian, Thomas, and I headed over to my grandmother's house for Leanne and my birthday lunch! It was fun. I got the shoes I already knew about, a sewing basket, and several hair accessories! Then Brian and I left to head back to W-ford to go to our financial peace meeting. Leanne brought Thomas home from my grandmother's and then kept him till we got home. Then she hung around for a while and watched tv with us. So, now it is Monday and we are starting another new week! I don't think this one will be as crazy, but I am not sure! So..that is all. Sorry this is so long, but at least you are up to date!!!
Ok...so rather than make you read 2 posts...I will just put it all in one long one! Last week was a good week. Brain still worked late and all, but hey...its the norm now! Thomas and I worked on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday like always and they were good days! Friday Thomas and I went to the church to help Donnie (our outreach guy) with some stuff. Thomas took an ok nap there and played well alone while I did some work. Everyone at the church just loves our boy!! Friday I also too Thomas to a patch of bluebonnets and took his picture! They turned out pretty cute! Friday night we drove up to Frisco to meet Brian's family at a Frisco RoughRiders baseball game. We had a blast. Thomas loved the "baball" game! After the game there were fireworks and Thomas enjoyed those too! Saturday we just hung out at Brian's parent's house for the most part. I did go out for a little bit shopping with Tara (Brian's sister) and Chris (Tara's husband) for a little while. It was so nice to be out shopping with adults and no children! I didn't get much..only what the "Dave Ramsey budget" would allow (and even then I probably spent too much!). We got in the hot tub with Thomas on Saturday too. Thomas was a little unsure of being in the pool, but there were alot of kids in one little hot tub (plus 2 adults), so we think that may have had something to do with it. We spent Saturday night up there too, but Thomas didn't sleep so well, so Brian got kicked to the couch and Thomas and I slept in the bed! Sunday Brian, Thomas, and I met my parents for lunch at Luby's (YUM!). Then we took Thomas back to there house for an afternoon nap. While Thomas (and Brian and Papa) napped, my mom and I went and got manicures and pedicures! AWWW!! There isn't much better than a GOOD spa pedi! Then Brian and I headed home to go to Financial Peace Univ again this week. This week we learned about buying bargains....it was a good lesson. Yesterday was the start to another week...it was just another Monday. Thomas and I did take the 2 dogs and the cat to the vet yesterday morning. That was interesting! To dogs on leashes, a cat in a carrier, and a Thomas on my hip!! Today was work like always. It was "donuts with dad" day, so Brian got to come up to the school for a little bit and hang out with Brian. So...now you are really up to date! Sorry this update ended up so long! Here are some bluebonnet pictures...
