What a week!

Hey! Wow what a week we had! It seems to have flown by! Let me do a short (yay right!) recap for you. Monday was a normal day. Thomas and I played here at the house and Brian worked late at the office (Monday are his late days). Monday night Leanne came up and we played some more with Thomas and then Leanne and I scrapbooked when Brian got home. Tuesday after Brian got off work, we drove over to Addison to see Kevin Woods. He is a good friend of mine from when I went to school in Abilene (his wife and son were in our wedding). This was his first time to meet Thomas (who of course was cute like always!). We had a great time eating dinner and catching up with him. We just wish that Ana and they boys could have been there too! Wednesday we went to look at the pictures that Thomas had done last Friday. They were too cute. It was so hard to pick which pictures we wanted (b/c we really just wanted them all). Melissa Madey (http://www.everydaymomentsphotography.net/) is such a great photographer (and of course it doesn't hurt that our kiddo is pretty photogenic!). We just love her and her work! Wednesday night we had a meeting at church. Our church here in Weatherford is starting a GROW outreach program. This is the same program Brian and I were involved in at our church in Virginia. Therefore, we are doing a lot with getting this up and running at our church now. So, we had a meeting for that on Wednesday. Thursday was just a day. Thomas and I had school and then played at home. At school Thomas had an Easter Egg hunt. He wasn't as interested in "hunting" the eggs as he was in walking up and down the hill they were hunting eggs on! However, we did get some very cute pics! Brian had work and that was about it. Then of course yesterday was tube day! We were at the North Richland Hills Pediatric Surgery Center at about 8:30 yesterday morning. They finally took Thomas back for his surgery at about 9:45. Around 10am they told us they were done. The dr said that Thomas had big adenoids, so taking them out should help with his runny noses and such. He also said that there was still fluid behind Thomas' right ear drum, but not so much behind the left. So, now Thomas has tubes and no adenoids. He has been okay. A little grumpy and clingy at times, but still very playful. The dr said that since he had anesthesia and steroids on board right now that he would feel good till about tomorrow (Easter Sunday) when they would all wear off. The dr gave us a prescription for Tylenol with Codeine for him in case he needs it. That is what we gave him yesterday, but it makes him so tired and loopy that we are trying to stick with tylenol and motrin today. He did sleep all night last night too! My mom was here all day yesterday and spent the night last night too. It has been nice to have two extra hands so that we can get some stuff done! Today is Saturday. Tonight we are having my parents, sister, and grandmother over and Brian's parents over too. We are having our family Easter dinner tonight. Oh yeah...and can you believe that this morning it was SNOWING! Happy Cold Easter in Texas! Tomorrow is Easter Sunday (as we all know!). I love Easter. Some if the reason I love it is b/c of Spring. I love the warmer weather (well not this year!) and the beautiful flowers (esp the bluebonnets this year!). I think being born on Easter makes it special to me too (even though it only falls on my birthday once every 11 years!). However, I mostly love Easter b/c of what Christ went through on the cross just so that I will be saved! What an AWESOME gift he gave all of us! I hope you will all remember what Easter is about! Have a great Easter with your family and friends! HAPPY EASTER!
(And some other pictures for your viewing pleasure!)
