Family Weekend

Last night my twin sister, Leanne, debuted in her first on-stage production of the Sound of Music. She was Elsa (the Baroness Schraeder). She did a great job. It was a really good performance and I so admire her that she is willing to stand on a stage and sing and dance and act (so not my cup of tea!). I was lucky enough to get a babysitter and be able to go without having to take Thomas with me (thanks a ton Danielle!). We were also lucky enough that both my grandmothers were able to come along. They really enjoyed getting to see Leanne on stage too.

Also this weekend, my uncle came into town to go this swap meet that he goes to every year with my dad. Friday night, after going to dinner at Pei Wei (yummy!) with my parents, my uncle, and his friend Joe, Thomas decided that Mister Craig (whom we have always called Uncle Craig in front of Thomas) was his next playmate. Thomas spent most of the evening saying, "Come play in the playroom with me Mister Craig" or "Mister Craig, I need to play with you"! It was too cute. Here is the only picture I was able to capture of Thomas and Uncle (Mister) Craig playing. (This one's for you Aunt Sharon!)

So, we have had a good weekend. We were even able to take my Grandma to lunch yesterday. I of course did not have a camera with me to take a picture (I forget my camera all the time!). We took her to eat at Celebrity Cafe (a girly lunch place). Thomas of course was with us as the guys were at Pate. Celebrity is known for their iced sugar cookies. We told Thomas he could have one if he ate a good lunch. Yesterday for some reason they only had iced bunnies, iced flowers, and iced butterflied. Of course, my son in his cute little tractor jon jon decides he wants a pink butterfly iced cookie! We were eventually able to talk him into a purple flower that he then shared with all of us. What a silly boy!

Well, that's all for now...so I will leave you with a picture that Melissa Madey (who took his pics the other week) took.
