Happy Belated Thanksgiving!

Sorry it has been so long since I posted. With a now 9 month old who crawls as fast as I walk and who is pulling up on EVERYTHING, my time is quite busy! Wow...can you believe my boy is now 9 mo old! It still seems like just last week he was born! How fast time goes. So, here is the update on the Hutchins house. I hope we don't bore you too much!

Last Sunday night, we were blessed with our neice, Hadley, spending the night with us. Apparently she likes her Aunt Alli a little bit and therefore spent the night here. We had a good time. She went with us to eat dinner with my parents at Christina's (a Mexican food restraunt) and then on Monday she went shoe shopping with me. She also had a good time playing with Thomas. We were glad that she felt like she could stay here with us for a night! We sure do love that little girl!

Thursday was a great new first for Thomas. It was his first Thanksgiving! We spent Thursday in Jacksonville, Texas with Brian's family. We were able to see Brian's grandparents, aunts, uncle, sisters, cousins, neices and nephew. It was great. Thomas loved the ham, turkey, dressing, yams, and rolls. He ate so much that he wouldn't go for the baby food when he was done! He loved playing with his cousins too. When we left the Shafer's house, we stopped by Brian's cousin, John Mark, grandparent's house. It was great to see Aunt Linda, Curtis, Julie and her husband, and Raymond and Mable Hill. And of course Thomas performed greatly for his new audience! It was a great day!

Friday Brian and I hopped the early bird sales. Yes, we did! We got up at 6am and we were at Toys R Us by 7am to by Christmas gifts for Thomas. I can't believe we did it, but it was worth it. We got some good deals and we were able to shop with out Thomas. Then Brian took Thomas to hand out with his old friend Mark while my mom and sister and I went shopping (I know..like I didn't get enough of it in the morning!). I was able to get most of our Christmas shopping done! That evening we spent the night with Brian's parents. It is so nice to be able to go and visit our parents whenever we want!

Saturday we had Thanksgiving with my Family. We got to spend time with my parents, grandmother, and sister. Also there was Leanne's friend Kelly. We had a great day there too. Thomas again enjoyed a plateful of turkey and dressing. He also had green beans and roll. He was again so full he didn't want any baby food. That night Thomas went home with my parents while Leanne, Kelly, Brian and I went to the movies. We saw Santa Clause 3, The Escape Clause. It was pretty good. Then Brian and I got to go home and spend some time together. It was nice.

Sunday we went to church and then came home. We were able to take a nap and just relax since we didn't have the Bubba. That night we went to see the Radio City Rockettes with Leanne and Kelly. It was their Christmas Spectacular and it was spectacular! It was so much fun. They are amazing! I am so glad we were able to go. Sunday, Bubba spent time with his Nana and JPa. From what I understand, he was a great boy and they enjoyed him! He spent the night there and I went to pick him up yesterday, Monday. I met Carolyn, my mother in law, at Stonebriar and we did some shopping. I am now even closer to being done with Christmas presents than I was before! Then I was able to spend some time with my mom and Thomas was able to see his Gram and Grandpa. So, there is what we did for the holidays...probably more than you ever wanted to know!

I hope your Thanksgiving was just as enjoyable as ours! We sure were thankful that we were able to be with family this year. We haven't been home for a Thanksgiving in several years. God was good to provide Brian with a job here in Texas near to our families so that we were able to be here! We are also very thankful to have such a happy and healthy little boy! I can't hardley remember what life was like before he was here. What a great joy to be able to celebrate Thanksgiving with Thomas too! And, finally, we are thankful for our friends. Although, we were so very grateful to be here in Texas to spend Thanksgiving with family, we sure missed our friends in Virginia. So, Thank God for our child, for family, and for friends!!
