Our State Fair is a Great State Fair

Earlier this month my mom and I took Thomas to the Texas State Fair. It was my first trip to the fair also. We had such a good time. When we got there, we went straight to the Ferris wheel and had a ride on it. Thomas had so much fun "looking for GG's house" when we were at the top.
After the Ferris wheel, we took Thomas over to the kiddie rides. He wanted to ride the "water ride". It was a short little canoe ride. He was excited because he was able to ride it alone. We told him he had to sit very still while he rode. He was so serious the entire time!
Then I took him on the log ride. It was fun, but it cost WAY too many tickets!

After riding the rides, we took Thomas for his first State Fair Corney Dog. He ate the entire thing by himself (well, with a little help from Gram).
On our way to find the little day on the farm exhibit for kids, we passed the John Deere Tractors. Of course we had to stop for Thomas to see them. He was so excited he wouldn't even look at the camera!

We spent some time at the Helping Hands Day on the Farm exhibit. Thomas had fun planting seeds, picking a tomato, gathering eggs, milking a cow, and driving the tractor. It was the cutest exhibit and he had alot of fun, but when it was over, he was TIRED!

We went straight from the farm exhibit to the petting zoo. Thomas had lots of fun looking at the animals and was even able to pet a goat.
As soon as he got back in the stroller from there, Thomas knocked out. He slept the rest of the time and even on the entire way home! It was so much fun. Thomas still talks about going to the fair. I can't wait to take him again next year!!
