Thursday morning we woke up to a message on Bill's phone saying that my luggage was found and it would be in that night on the same flight I had flown the night before. Therefore, it should be in around 9:15. So, we went through our day (me in the same clothes as the day prior). We ate lunch at a restaurant named Citrus. It has been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives (on food network). The food was wonderful! After lunch we all came back to the condo and took naps. For dinner we went to eat at Panera Bread. Then Bill, Mary, and I packed up all the leftover bread products at Panera for them to take to the homeless shelter on Friday. There were more than 10 bags of bagels, breads, pastries, etc. So cool to know that Panera does something like that! Then we stopped by Cheryl and Kevin's house (the other couple going on the mission trip with us) so I could meet them. We sat and talked for a while and then headed back to the condo again. Shortly after we got back, Bill and I left to head to the airport to pick up my luggage. When we got there, we headed straight to baggage claim and waited. And waited.....and waited....and waited.... No bags. We headed back to the baggage claim office to speak to the man behind the counter. He told me he wasn't sure what had happened, but that once again, he would do research and call us to let us know. So back home Bill and I went. I put my clothes in the wash and headed to bed hoping my luggage would show up on Friday. (No new pics this day either...other than the view of the ocean in the post before this one)
Friday morning I slept in late. It was wonderful! When I got up, Mary had loaned me some clothes so I could wear something new. However, shortly after I had showered and changed clothes, Bill came home and asked if I wanted to ride his bike with him to eat lunch. Um...yes please!!! So off we went on his motorcycle to Burger King for lunch. After we finished lunch we rode the bike down by the ocean so Bill could take my picture on the bike with the ocean in the background!
Then we met Mary back at the house and Mary and I headed to Kohls and Target. I found a few bargains between the two so that I could have a new outfit for Saturday! When we got back to the condo, there was a message from American Airlines to call then about my lost baggage. With much hope I called the number. After ALOT of run around, they finally left it at "We will call you when your bags get to Norfolk". They couldn't tell me when that would be...they couldn't even tell me where my bags were! I then felt less than hopeful, but we continued to pray and trust that God would deliver my luggage to Norfolk! While I was on the phone, Mary and I stood on the balcony and took pictures of the sunset over the ocean. BEA.U.TI.FUL!!!!!
After I FINALLY got off the phone with American, we left to go get yogurt from a local frozen yogurt place called Tini's. I had vanilla with Oreo's on it...yummy! The perfect way to end a day! (But of course no pictures of the yogurt trip!)
